John is a native Haligonian (Born 1960) who has been performing since 1976. John has accumulated a wide variety of styles on guitar, as well, John sings lead vocals and harmonies. He has played from Newfoundland to Alberta and has done session work, as well as, live recordings. He has performed with Bill Bourne (1991 Juno Award winner) internationally acclaimed band leader/composer Bobby Shew and the late Ron Dan (Murray McLaughlan's steel guitar player). In 1990, John was invited to perform at the "Montraux Jazz Festival" in Switzerland. John was hired in 1993 to perform with the Vancouver based "Legends of Country" impersonators, i.e., Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, Ricky VanShelton, and Patsy Cline. This is John's 20th year of teaching private music lessons. His guitar teaching includes Celtic, Jazz, Rock, Country, R & B, Latin American, or just sing along songs. Also, John has played the "A" circuit rooms in the Maritimes since 1981. John has a new album released entitled A Tribute To The SS Atlantic.

John is currently serving on the Board of Directors as Vice-President for the Blue Thunder Music Society (Halifax Police Departments rock band)
